Kia unveils 2025 EV6 facelift: Larger battery, new features, and sportier design
Unveiling the Future: Kia Korea has recently pulled the covers off the facelifted 2025 EV6. This new model showcases a host of cosmetic updates, both inside and out, and comes with a larger battery pack. The EV6 is expected to hit Indian roads in early 2025. Power Unleashed: The facelifted EV6 continues to offer similar single and dual electric motor configurations as its predecessor. However, it now boasts a larger battery pack and introduces a plethora of new features, enhancing its appeal. Sporty Aesthetics: The most striking design update in the EV6 facelift is its front fascia. Angular LED DRLs and new LED headlights lend it a sportier appearance. The front-end changes also include a sleeker grille and an updated bumper, giving it a more aggressive look. Sleek Silhouette: While the updated EV6 maintains a similar silhouette to the outgoing model, it now offers a variety of new alloy wheel designs, with sizes reaching up to 20 inches. These changes add to the vehicle’s dynamic stance and road presence. Rugged Rear: At the rear, the EV6 retains the single LED bar tail-lamp design of the outgoing model. However, it now features a redesigned rear bumper, enhancing its rugged appeal and adding to its overall design harmony. Cabin Comforts: Inside, the facelifted EV6 features a familiar cabin layout with a curved panoramic display housing two 12.3-inch screens. The updated interior includes a new two-spoke steering wheel with revised controls and a dual-tone black and brown cabin theme, giving it a premium feel. Tech Upgrades: The facelifted EV6 now incorporates a range of additional features, including a fingerprint sensor for starting the car. Other new features include an augmented reality-based navigation system, a digital key that lets you unlock the car with your smartwatch, and an updated 14-speaker Meridian sound system. Safety First: On the safety front, the updated EV6 gets 10 airbags, along with a host of ADAS features such as front/side/rear parking collision avoidance system, blind spot detection, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assist. Powertrain Prowess: Globally, Kia offers the facelifted EV6 with similar powertrain options, but with a larger 84 kWh battery pack. It is equipped with either a 229 PS/350 Nm single e-motor or a 325 PS/605 Nm dual e-motor setup. The 2WD long-range variant is capable of delivering a claimed range of 494 km. Market Expectations: We expect the launch of the facelifted Kia EV6 in India in early 2025, with an expected starting price of around Rs 63 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon its launch, it will renew its rivalry with the Volvo XC40 Recharge and the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
